Driving School Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all driving lessons and services provided by Guardian Driving School (the Instructor, we, us). By booking lessons, the learner (you) agrees to these terms.

1. Lessons

Lessons are conducted for the agreed duration and at mutually agreed times and locations.

Lessons will begin and end as scheduled. Late arrival by the learner may result in a shortened lesson without refund. If the instructor is delayed you will recieve your full lesson duration.

The instructor reserves the right to refuse or terminate a lesson if the learner appears unfit to drive (e.g. under the influence of alcohol or drugs, tired or behaving unsafely).

Once you have been allocated a time slot AND made the first payment, this will be your weekly time slot for as long as you continue lessons subject to payment being made as per these terms. You can change your time slot if availability allows.

1. Payments

Payment for the next lesson must be made at least 1 week in advance, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Lessons ARE NOT confirmed unless payment has been made. Failure to make payment as per our terms will result in your lesson being offered to another learner without notice. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure YOUR lessons are booked and paid for. Continued late payments will result in lessons being terminated.

Failure to complete online registration and agreeing to these terms and conditions will result in our offer of training being withdrawn.

Prices are subject to change, but any changes will be communicated in advance.

Block bookings are non-transferable unless agreed in writing. If you terminate your lessons you will be refunded any monies from bookings subject to our 48 hour cancellation policy.

1. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Learners are required to give a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson. Notice must be provided by text message, phone call, or email to ensure it is received.

Cancellations or rescheduled lessons made with less than 48 hours notice will be charged at the full lesson fee, as the short notice makes it unlikely that the appointment can be filled. This includes, illness, injury, childcare etc. We cannot discriminate against reasons/excuses in order to keep the policy fair to all.

The instructor reserves the right to deduct this fee from any pre-paid block booking balance or to request payment before further lessons are provided.

If you do not settle the balance for lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, all training may be terminated.

If the instructor needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, reasonable notice will be given wherever possible, and no fee will be charged.

Repeated late cancellations may result in future lessons being refused.

1. Driving Tests

Use of the instructors vehicle for a driving test is at the instructors discretion.

A test booking may be refused if the instructor believes the learner is not test-ready.

Normal lesson fees may apply if a test is cancelled at short notice as per 48 hour cancellation policy.

1. Punctuality & Missed Lessons

If the learner is not present at the agreed pickup location and cannot be contacted, the lesson may be marked as a late cancellation and charged in full.

Time lost due to learner delays cannot be added to the lesson. We will wait 15 minutes at the agreed pick up location and time. After this the lesson will be marked as a no show and charged in full.

1. Vehicle & Safety

The learner agrees to follow all instructions given by the instructor.

The instructor may take control of the vehicle at any time for safety reasons.

Any damage caused by reckless or dangerous behaviour may be the learners responsibility including costs.

1. Personal Information

Personal details are stored securely and used only for lesson management and communication.

Information will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.

1. Termination of Lessons

The instructor reserves the right to stop providing lessons if these Terms & Conditions are breached.

Any outstanding fees must be settled before further lessons can be booked.

1. Behaviour & Conduct

Learners are expected to behave in a respectful, responsible, and professional manner at all times.

Racism, discrimination, bullying, harassment, antisocial behaviour, aggressive language, or abusive conduct of any kind will not be tolerated, whether directed at the instructor or others.

If such behaviour occurs, the instructor reserves the right to terminate the lesson immediately. In these circumstances, the lesson fee will not be refunded.

Serious or repeated incidents may result in all future training being cancelled without notice.

Any outstanding fees must still be settled before termination of services.

1. Malicious Reviews & Dispute Resolution

We are committed to providing a high standard of instruction and aim to resolve any concerns fairly, respectfully, and amicably.

If a learner or client is unhappy with any aspect of our service, we encourage them to raise the issue directly with us first, so we have the opportunity to understand the concern and work towards a reasonable resolution.

Malicious, false, or misleading reviews or statements that do not reflect the genuine service provided, or that are posted without first attempting to resolve the matter directly, may be challenged and reported to the relevant platform where appropriate.

Where comments, reviews, or behaviour are believed to be defamatory, threatening, abusive, or unlawful, we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action and, where necessary, report the matter to the police, in line with applicable laws.

Constructive feedback is always welcomed and used to help improve our service.

Nothing in this section affects a learners right to leave an honest and factual review based on their genuine experience.

1. Dash Cam & In-Car Camera Footage

Our vehicles are fitted with dash cameras and internal cameras for safety, insurance, training, and quality assurance purposes.

Recorded footage may be used for training, educational, and promotional purposes, including use on social media or our website.

If a learner does not wish for footage that includes their image or face to be used, they must notify us in writing before lessons take place.

Where no written objection has been received, consent is assumed for the use of relevant footage.

Footage that does not show the learners face, including front-facing and rear-facing dash cam footage, may be used regardless of objection, as this footage does not identify the learner.

All footage is handled in line with data protection and privacy laws and will not be used in a misleading or defamatory manner.

Footage may also be retained or shared where required for insurance claims, legal matters, or law enforcement purposes.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking and attending lessons, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
